THE THINKING MACHINE – AN IMMERSIVE CONCERT
January 24TH 2023
2 shows: 7pm and 9pm

WHAT IF WE COULD READ THE ARTIST’S MIND?
On January 24th, we invite you to look inside the artist’s brain during a unique immersive concert featuring the original soundtrack of our Dalí Cybernetics’ exhibition. In this special concert, we will use science to witness the emotions of the musicians playing through 360° live visual projections.
A special headset (commonly known as EEG Sensor) will be worn by the pianist, and we will be able to collect data from the electrical activity of the musician’s brain and turn it into visual art. All the artists will perform live in our immersive room and the visual projections will react in real time to the emotional state of the performer.
Important: This event DOES NOT include the visit to ‘Dalí Cybernetics’ and there will not be any projections of the exhibition.
AN EXPERIENCE CONNECTING ART, TECH & SCIENCE
Dalí defined himself as a “thinking machine”, in an allusion to the mechanism suggested by philosopher Ramon Llull, whom he greatly admired. The technology used in our concert allows us to literally create a new generation of “thinking machine”, demonstrating the potential and creativity of the combination of science and art.
(Re) Discover the amazing soundtrack composed by Rafel Plana performed in an acoustic version for piano, violin and cello, with special guest artists and anecdotes from the recordings. Enjoy a wonderful experience in a concert that truly reflects Dalí’s relationship with technology and cybernetics.
