PresentaTiOn OF THE SUBJECT VISUTAL EFFECTS AND VFX OF THE Multimedia DEGREE
TEACHER: salvador bolarin.

Within the framework of the subject of Visual Effects of the Multimedia Degree taught at CITM, a simulation exercise of particles and volumes has been carried out to recreate, in a physically correct way, the birth of stars.

The techniques used have been performed with SideFX Houdini, the main software of the subject, together with Redshift as a rendering engine.

One of the main challenges has been working with 8K image sizes. 17 students have participated in the class exercise, with the duration of the exercise being one month.

The end result includes the creation of about 50 different nebulae. Also, a small application has been made with Unity for the visualization of the exercise in VR format.
